Three students were robbed at 1:30 a.m. Thursday on Oak Street headed westbound from Broadway Street, according to reports from Tulane University Police Department.

The victims were walking when they were approached by two unknown white males in their late teens or early twenties who began to strike them in the face repeatedly with their fists when one of the victims stopped to urinate. The victims said they had been involved in a verbal altercation with the same two males a few minutes earlier.

All three victims lost consciousness. When they awoke, they had bruises and lacerations and discovered that their wallets had been stolen from their pockets. One victim was taken to the hospital.

New Orleans Police Department responded to this case and conducted an investigation.
