Tidal Wave committee announces Chris Halbohn, Piper Browne as homecoming king, queen

Chris Halbohn and Piper Browne, pictured here with President Michael Fitts, are the 2014 Homecoming king and queen.

Seniors Chris Halbohn and Piper Browne were announced as the 2014 Homecoming king and queen at halftime of the homecoming football game against Memphis. These individuals received the most votes from 1,854 students and alumni.

Halbohn is from Levittown, New York and is double majoring in environmental studies and history with a minor in French. He is the current Associated Student Body president, a Green Wave Ambassador, a voting member of Tulane University Senate, a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and a social media intern in the Office of Undergraduate Admission.

Browne is from Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts and is majoring in sociology with minors in French and music. She is currently president of Green Wave Ambassadors, president of the Green Envy a cappella group and an intern in the Office of Undergraduate Admission. She has also served as an Orientation Team Leader for incoming freshmen this past summer.
