Two men steal non-affiliate’s vehicle near Tulane Medical Center

Two men threatened a non-affiliate with a firearm and stole his 2007 maroon Nissan Murano at 5:45 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of South Saratoga Street and Tulane Avenue, which is near Tulane Medical Center. Tulane University Police Department detailed the incident in a crime alert sent to the Tulane community at 10:11 a.m Saturday.

According to the crime alert, the non-affiliate met an unknown man on Bourbon Street and entered the non-affiliate’s vehicle and proceeded to the intersection. Upon arrival, an acquaintance of the unknown man met them, producing a semi-automatic handgun and forcing the non-affiliate to relinquish his vehicle and money. The suspects fled west on Tulane Avenue and then in an unknown direction.

Both suspects are described as black, average height and build and wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

New Orleans Police Department is currently investigating the case.
