Student, faculty report theft on campus

On Thursday, Nov. 17, these crimes were reported to Tulane University Police Department.

Burglary:

A contract worker reported to TUPD that his laptop was stolen around 1 p.m.

The worker said he left his office unattended and when he returned, his laptop was gone.

Checks of cameras and local pawn shops did not provide any helpful results. The investigation is ongoing.

Theft:

A staff member reported to TUPD that her phone was stolen at approximately 2 p.m.

The staff member said she left her office unlocked with her phone inside. When she returned to her office, she realized her phone was gone.

TUPD tracked the phone to an off-campus location. The location was checked, but the phone was not found.

Theft:

A student reported that her backpack was stolen around 2 p.m.

The student left her backpack in a restroom on campus. When she went back to retrieve it, it was no longer there.

A check of lost and found was met with negative results.
