Three Muses caters to all styles and desires

Three Muses is more than just a restaurant: it is a taste of New Orleans’ Frenchman Street. Situated alongside The Maison, Blue Nile and The Spotted Cat Music Club, Three Muses boasts an impeccable location.

Three Muses does more than just offer proximity to some of the best jazz clubs in town. On select nights, it takes its place as one of these premier venues featuring shows from local musicians.

The ambiance is cozy and cool — the lights dimmed, candles adorn the tables and guests are faced with the stage and its performers as they walk through the front door. A bar occupies the back of the restaurant, offering unique cocktails and an opportunity to enjoy the music for those not looking for a bite to eat. One can’t help but feel transported to a different, jazzier time upon entering Three Muses.

Three Muses serves a continuously changing menu of small plates, featuring snacks, meats, seafood, charcuterie and cheese, vegetarian and dessert plates. The tapas-style eatery grants its guests a coveted opportunity to sample a wide selection of the scrumptious options on its soulfully crafted menu.

While dining at Three Muses, The Arcade had the blessing of tasting dishes from most of the above categories: the bacon wrapped blue cheese-stuffed dates sitting atop a vanilla balsamic reduction do not disappoint, the tempura shrimp with sweet Chinese mustard sauce possessed a perfect balance of crunchy and tangy, and the cheese plate selection including cured deli meats, artisan cheese and pickled vegetables was superb. As for the entrees, the steak and crab cake combo was dynamite and the lamb sliders with goat cheese and tomato chutney were succulent and well seasoned. Unfortunately, the fish tacos lacked flavor in comparison to the aforementioned selections.

Three Muses is the whole package and is highly recommended, especially when attempting to showcase the many attributes of this incredible, multifaceted city. With that being said, to assure a spot in this eatery, be sure to make a reservation beforehand.
