Kappa Alpha fraternity is still seeking information about three people who stole approximately $3,500 worth of composite pictures, showcasing portraits of chapter members, and other items early in the morning Aug. 23 from the KA fraternity house located at 1036 Audubon St. The Hullabaloo first covered the theft in an Aug. 28 article.

Video surveillance shows two men and one woman entering the house and stealing the items. The case was originally reported to Tulane University Police Department and later to New Orleans Police Department. NOPD is currently handling the investigation. Neither has discovered any leads on identifying the suspects.

KA has since raised the reward for providing information about the suspects from $150 to $500. KA President Gane Duggan said any informants will remain anonymous.

“While we understand the composite pictures seem meaningless to others, they are very important to the history of our chapter,” Duggan said. “They are also difficult to replace and cost $1,000 to $2,000 each. We will not prosecute anyone who comes forth. We hope the perpetrators are able to return these items in good faith.”

NOPD did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
