Shooting on Oak Street wounds 18-year-old man

An 18-year-old man reported being shot in the shoulder around 3 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Oak and Leonidas Streets, the New Orleans Police Department said in a press release.

The intersection is approximately a mile from the Broadway Street side of Tulane’s Uptown campus. 

The man was transported to a Jefferson Parish hospital via his own source of transportation, where he reported the incident. 

NOPD is investigating the scene and has yet to identify any suspects.
