Update:

Two additional players have been suspended from the Green Wave football team. Junior Royce LaFrance from Harvey, Louisiana was barred from playing in the first half of the game against Tulsa Thursday. Redshirt freshman Eric Bell has been suspended indefinitely. Because of the confidentiality of university records, it is unknown if these suspensions are related to Kelley’s arrest.

Original story:

Senior running back Robert Kelley was arrested on one count of simple battery and one count of simple robbery on Aug. 4. His bond was set at $10,000. He has since appeared twice in court for status hearings. He is set to appear in court next on Sept. 6.

Kelley has been suspended from the Green Wave football team, according to a press release from Tulane University.

“Robert Kelley, a senior from New Orleans, has been suspended from the Tulane University football team,” the press release stated. “Federal law prohibits the university from disclosing any disciplinary action taken against a student regarding his or her enrollment in the university.”
