With classes being moved online until the end of the semester and students being asked to evacuate on-campus housing, the entire Tulane community is feeling the effects of the coronavirus. Tulane Athletics announced that university sports will be conducted according to the teams’ listed schedules, though attendance at home games will be limited. Only athletes, coaches, media, athletics personnel and athletes’ immediate family will be permitted to attend games.

The decision to exclude the general public from athletic events stems from the NCAA COVID-19 Advisory Panel’s official recommendation, which cited the fluidity of the virus and the danger it poses to the older population specifically.

The Hullabaloo will continue to keep fans in the loop on all Tulane sports throughout the semester, and will update readers on the implications of the coronavirus on Tulane athletics as new information is reported.
