Tulane student found dead in apparent suicide on Sunday

A student died in an apparent suicide on Sunday in Aron Residences, according to a representative from the Tulane Office of Student Affairs.
 
The representative confirmed the student was Erin Peters, a current sophomore in the School of Liberal Arts. 
 
New Orleans Police Department responded to calls concerning the student at approximately 1 p.m. Sunday.
 
NOPD and the Tulane University Police Department were at the scene. Officials from the Jefferson Parish Coroner’s office removed the body from Aron at approximately 2:20 p.m.  
 
The Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office will perform an autopsy.
