A twenty-year-old non-affiliate student reported an aggravated burglary in her home on the 1700 block of Broadway Street at 4:37 a.m. on Sunday, according to reports from the New Orleans Police Department. 

The victim awoke to a black male standing over her in her bedroom with his hand over her mouth preparing to tape it closed, according to reports from the Tulane University Police Department. The victim resisted and started to scream, and the perpetrator fled out the backdoor. 

NOPD is investigating this case.
