TUPD assists in vehicle accident, suspicious persons report
Vehicle Accident:
Tulane University Police Department assisted New Orleans Police Department with a three-vehicle accident which included a Tulane student at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Broadway and Plum streets.
According to the daily activities report, the Tulane student reported he stopped traffic and accidentally pressed the gas pedal causing his vehicle to hit another vehicle, which subsequently hit a third vehicle.
There were no injuries reported.
Suspicious Persons Report:
Suspicious Persons Officers were dispatched around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday to Plum Street near the rear of the Woldenberg Art Center in response to a subject walking about with what appeared to be a paintball gun. After TUPD contacted the subject, it was determined he was a Tulane student carrying a toy gun, according to the DAR.
The student claimed he was filming something for a class and had permission from Plant Operations to film in the area.
