At approximately 1 a.m. Saturday an attempted armed robbery took place on the 1500 block of Broadway Street.

Two victims sitting in a vehicle were approached by two unknown subjects. The subjects pulled up alongside the victims in a light-colored SUV, armed with handguns, and demanded the property of the victims. One victim stated that they threw their phone in the grass. A non-involved vehicle pulled up behind the subjects’ vehicle at which time the subjects fled without stealing anything, made a U-turn on Birch Street and fled south on Broadway Street. The destination of the subjects remains unknown.
