Athletics announces football student section ticket details
August 20, 2014
Tulane Athletics added new features to its student ticket policies as it prepares for student demand to be at an all-time high. These changes follow the program’s recent entry into the American Athletic Conference and the opening of the on-campus Yulman Stadium.
Tulane undergraduate and graduate students will continue to receive free student section tickets to all on-campus sporting events. They will, however, have to claim their printed tickets with a Splash Card prior to the game. The Yulman Stadium student section is located behind the south end zone, closest to the Reily Student Recreation Center.
The most noteworthy new feature of the policy for football allows students to bring other students’ Splash Cards to pick up additional tickets. Students are not allowed to use other individuals’ Splash Cards to gain access to Yulman Stadium on game day.
An additional feature of the football ticket policy for students allows them to purchase guest passes in the student section for $20 per pass. These passes will not be sold on game day, however, and guest pass ticketholders will only be granted admission through the student gate accompanied with a student with a valid Splash Card.
Student ticket pickup for the 3 p.m. Sept. 6 home opener against Georgia Tech will be available at the Athletics Ticket Office from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning on Monday.
The new student ticket policy will also cater to those fans who choose at the last moment to attend a game, according to the Tulane Athletics. Students can go to the student gate at Yulman Stadium, pick up a ticket, and enter with their Splash Cards on game day if seats are available.
Student tickets for the next home game will not be available to be claimed until the Monday following a home game, and will be available for pick up in the Lavin-Bernick Center at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. the Thursday and Friday prior to the home football game.
