Tulane University Police Department officers responded to a call reporting a residence burglary at around 5 p.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of Pine Street.

The victim reported bring awakened at around 4 a.m. by a bright light shining through her doorway that quickly disappeared, followed by the sound of the door quickly opening and closing. The victim then went back to sleep.

The roommate discovered her purse, containing personal items, a wallet and cash, and a bike from the rear steps of the residence missing shortly before 5 p.m. the same evening.
