Gamma Rho Lambda hosts 2018 Pride Prom: Masquerade
This weekend is your opportunity to relive the pinnacle of the high school experience: prom. Gamma Rho Lambda Xi chapter’s 2018 Pride Prom takes place this Saturday at 6:30 p.m. In true New Orleans fashion, this year’s theme is “masquerade,” which means you can BYOM (bring your own mask) or DIY one at the party. According to Gamma Rho Lambda, attendees may wear whatever they want, whether dressing up or down, as long as they are having fun.
Pride Prom will be located in the Lavin-Bernick Center for Student Life in the Kendall Cram Lecture Hall, and there will be food and refreshments, a photo booth and music.
There is a recommended donation of $5 per person with proceeds going to BreakOUT!, a local charity organization seeking to end the criminalization of LGBTQ+ youth in New Orleans.
In the past, Gamma Rho Lambda has hosted several events, including the “What you can spare, they can wear” trans clothing drive. Gamma Rho Lambda Xi is an LGBTQ+ and multicultural fraternity at Tulane, which aims to foster an inclusive space for students.
