Tulane Campus Recreation announced that the Reily Student Recreation Center will close until further notice starting today at 5 p.m., citing recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Those with lockers at Reily may retrieve any belongings they may have left in them until that time. After 5 p.m. today, students and gym members should contact Assistant Director of Facilities Steve Leitch at [email protected] for an appointment.

According to a Campus Recreation FAQ site, “All monthly membership, towel service, and locker rental payments will be suspended until operations resume.”

All club sports activities have also been suspended, and Campus Recreation is currently working with university travel agents to cancel planned travel.

All intramural sports have been cancelled as well. While Campus Recreation has not yet set a timetable for refunding deposits paid by intramural sports teams, it says it “[hopes] to be able to begin processing within the next 2-3 weeks if not sooner.”

Outdoor Adventures trips and swim lessons have also been cancelled, and refunds are currently being processed for those affected.
