Arcade’s guide to winter events

Whether you’re staying in New Orleans for the break or heading home soon, these are some fun events to make the most of the next few weeks. All events are either virtual or will have social-distancing measures in place.
November 12, 8 p.m.
Tulane University Campus Programming (TUCP) will be streaming an A$AP Ferg concert on Thursday night. Following the concert, A$AP Ferg will join the event for a live Q&A with TUCP. Audience members will be able to submit questions during the live event.
Q&A with Chloe Fineman and Bowen Yang of Saturday Night Live
November 15, 8 p.m.
Saturday Night Live stars Chloe Fineman and Bowen Yang will be visiting Tulane virtually on November 15. Audience members will be able to submit questions during this live event.
November 19, 7:30 p.m.
Join sex educator Hope Kodman from Dynamo Toys and Supplies for a conversation about sex. Audience members can submit anonymous questions. All participants will be entered into a raffle to win a gift card from Dynamo Toys.
November 6-22
The 31st New Orleans Film Festival will be a hybrid event, with some showings in open-air theaters and other films streaming virtually. Participants can also attend keynotes, filmmaker Q&As, and virtual panel discussions. Tickets are available here.
November 14, 28 and December 5, 12, 19, 9-3 p.m.
The Arts Market at City Park is the perfect opportunity to get Christmas gifts for friends and family while supporting local artists. The event will host 30 vendors, spaced-out to allow for socially distanced shopping. Masks are required and only 100 guests will be allowed in at a time.
November 26-January 3
City Park’s 34th annual Celebration in the Oaks will look a little different this year, but participants will still get to admire more than a million lights throughout City Park.
Guests must remain in their vehicles for the duration of their tour, which will be along a 2.25 mile route. Tickets are available here.
