The Tulane University Police Department notified students on Monday of a “small video camera” found in a shower on the sixth floor of Butler Residence Hall, according to a message sent to residents of the freshman dormitory.

A student discovered the camera Sunday night, the message said. The sixth floor is an all-male floor. 

​TUPD stated in the message that all on-campus shower facilities have been searched and are clear of recording devices. 

TUPD did not say whether the camera was recording.

This is an ongoing criminal investigation. TUPD asked anyone with information about the incident to call TUPD at 504-865-5381.
