Earlier this month, the Kansas City Chiefs faced the Philadelphia Eagles in the 59th annual Super Bowl, held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. This event attracted over 65,000 football fans to the city’s stadium and generated millions of dollars for the NFL. In order to ensure this major game ran smoothly, thousands of people were employed — including some Tulane University students.
One Tulane student, senior Ava Rosenstein, had the opportunity to work as a production associate for NFL films. Her responsibilities began the Friday before the game and concluded the Monday succeeding it. Rosenstein managed domestic media and distributed media vests.
“I have always been really passionate about working in sports and entertainment,” Rosenstein said. “It was kind of a no-brainer for me that I really wanted to work [on] what is arguably the largest sporting event in the country while it was being hosted in New Orleans.”

Every year, celebrities are spotted watching this popular sporting event. This year, Adam Sandler, Paul Rudd, Jay-Z, Bradley Cooper and Taylor Swift, amongst others, made the trip to New Orleans for the big game.
“I was so fortunate to see so many celebrities while I was there,” Rosenstein said. “I had a chance to meet Jason Kelce while I was on the field pregame, and he was getting set up for his broadcast. This was super awesome, being a Philly-based girl who loves the Eagles.”
Rosenstein said she also had the chance to meet Pete Davidson, Shane Gillis and the Costco family on the day of the game.
Senior Hannah Boden also worked at the Super Bowl as a production associate for NFL Films. She said this opportunity granted her strong multitasking skills—as well as a chance to see a number of celebrities.
“It was amazing to see so many entertainment industry supporters, but for me, Serena Williams was a special treat,” Boden said. “I enjoyed every minute and I am appreciative [of] this experience.”
Senior Riley Glover said she had always dreamt of attending the Super Bowl, and that she was grateful to achieve this by working at the game.
“When I found out the Super Bowl would be in New Orleans my senior year of college, I knew I wanted to do anything I could to be able to work the event,” said Glover.
Ultimately, Super Bowl LIX saw the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 40-22. This marks the Eagle’s second Super Bowl title, having claimed their first one at the 2018 Super Bowl LII. Next year, Super Bowl LX will be held at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
