An attempted armed robbery took place at approximately 6:20 a.m. on Saturday near the 1300 block of Gravier St. involving two non-affiliates.

The pair was asleep in their parked car when an unknown man approached the vehicle, revealed a small handgun and demanded money. The car was started by one of the non-affiliates and the two drove away. No one was harmed and no property was taken.

According to NOPD, the suspect was described as a light skinned black male in his early twenties wearing a black or brown hoodie and jeans. He was last seen fleeing toward N. Claiborne Avenue.
