Preservation Hall will be a guaranteed ball
October 1, 2015
The Preservation Hall Ball is ideal for anybody with a big heart and a good ear.
The Ball will start at 9 p.m. Saturday at the Civic Theatre, instead of the Preservation Hall, in order to accommodate attendee numbers. The annual Preservation Hall Ball is for the benefit of the Preservation Hall Foundation, meaning a portion of the proceeds will go towards the protection and perpetuation of musical education and heritage in this beloved city.
This year’s lineup includes Corey Glover of “Living Colour,” a band known for its song “Cult of Personality,” which is featured in the video game “Guitar Hero III,” three of the six members of “The Afghan Whigs,” and GRiZ. The ball will also feature a New Orleans favorite, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Tickets are under $45, which is a steal considering all of the talent that will be present for the concert.
