New Orleans Police Department organized a swat roll to confront a woman who had barricaded herself inside her home with a gun on the 1700 block of Palmer Avenue around 5:30 a.m. Thursday. 

An NOPD public information officer reported at approximately 7:20 a.m. that the woman had surrendered peacefully. 

The 1700 block of Palmer Avenue is approximately one block from St. Charles avenue and near Loyola University New Orleans’ Uptown campus.
