Filming began on campus Tuesday for the pilot episode of SyFy’s new series “The Magicians.”

According to one crew member the series has been labeled “Harry Potter for adults” and the plot centers around a young group of people who attend Brakebills, a college for magic. 

A second crew member said filming was scheduled to continue on campus through next week. The second crew member said students and faculty should expect certain areas to be blocked off for short periods of time during this period.
