Sophomore Laura Culp died Friday night in Moorseville, North Carolina after being struck by a small pickup truck during a jog. Culp is originally from Florida.

Local newspaper The Statesville Record & Landmark reported Saturday that Culp was finishing her jog and was hit less than 100 feet of the driveway where she was ending her run.
