Four men robbed and assaulted a man at 9 p.m. Tuesday while he was walking on the 1100 block of Tulane Avenue, the Tulane University Police Department daily activity report states.

The victim reported that he was attacked by four black men. One subject struck him on the right side of his head, causing him to drop to his knees. The assailants demanded his property, and the victim handed over $80 in cash.

The suspects then fled on South Rampart Street in the direction of Canal Street.

New Orleans Police Department is currently investigating the case.
