Weekend Crime Report: September 8-10
Theft:
Tulane University Police Department officers responded to a report of a theft at 5 p.m. Sunday.
The reporting person said she brought a group on non-Tulane affiliated people into her room in Monroe Hall on Saturday evening. When the group departed, the reporting person noticed her prescription medicine and headphones stolen.
The case is ongoing and interviews will be conducted. The Criminal Investigative Unit was notified.
Drug law violation and criminal trespass:
Two Loyola students were arrested after making a hand-to-hand drug transaction at 4:13 p.m. Sunday at the Navy ROTC building.
The students were arrested and transported without incident on the basis of a drug law violation and criminal trespassing.
The first arrested subject was charged with drug possession with intent to distribute. The second arrested subject was charged with possession of marijuana.
The narcotics were weighed, photographed and placed into evidence. Restricted presence letters were issued, the Loyola Police Department was notified and CIU was notified.
