Weekend Crime Report: Sept. 15-17
Criminal Trespass:
At 6:51 a.m. Sunday, Tulane University Police Department officers responded to a subject sleeping on the sidewalk outside of the Goldie and Morris Mintz Center for Jewish Life.
After being awakened, the subject refused to leave Tulane property. The subject smelled of alcohol, slurred his speech and was unable to stand properly without swaying.
The subject was cleared for arrest after being examined by Emergency Services, transported to Central Lock Up and booked for criminal trespassing and public intoxication.
Bicycle Theft:
TUPD officers responded to a walk-in report of a bicycle theft at 1:51 p.m. Sunday.
The reporting person said that he secured a bicycle he borrowed from a friend at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Dixon Hall bicycle racks with a cable lock. At 1:30 p.m. Sunday, he returned to discover the bicycle missing.
The bicycle was not registered. Security camera footage will be reviewed. A Maxient report was completed.
