Five Tulane students mugged at gunpoint on Hillary St. Saturday night
Five Tulane students were robbed at gunpoint by two men on Saturday night.
At 10:40 p.m. the students were approached by the subjects on the 900 block of Hillary Street. After producing a gun, the subjects demanded the students hand over their belongings. A male victim handed over his wallet and a female victim handed over her purse, according to the New Orleans Police Department Report.
The male victims were ages 19 and 20, and the female victims were ages 19, 20 and 20, according to NOPD.
The Tulane University Police Department crime report varied slightly from the initial NOPD report. According to TUPD, the event occurred at 11:40 p.m. and the subjects procured property from three of the five students.
The subjects fled running on Burthe Street toward Adams Street, according to TUPD.
This is the first reported armed robbery involving Tulane students since Oct. 19 when two students were robbed on the 7900 block of Birch Street.

What race were the perpetrators?
