Tulane test positivity rates lower than New Orleans’

Tulane University recorded 126 COVID-19 cases in students’ first week back on campus after an end-of-semester Omicron outbreak in December.
Ninety of the positive cases are students. Thirty-six are employees.
A total of 1,017 students and employees have tested positive since the beginning of the semester. Five hundred and seventy-two of those positive cases were in employees. Tulane has completed 10,455 COVID-19 tests in the spring semester, with a percent testing positive of 9.7%.
The seven-day rate testing positive is 6%, lower than that recorded in both New Orleans and Louisiana.
