TUPD arrests student connected to fraternity fire
On Feb. 16, Tulane University Police Department officers responded to a fire at the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity house.
TUPD officers said they observed a burned sofa on the property upon their arrival. A Tulane student was arrested in connection to the fire. According to TUPD, the arrested student said he started the fire and extinguished it. In New Orleans, it is unlawful to burn trash in areas where the fire is not protected by a furnace or incinerator.
