March 16, 2022
After a two-year delay due to COVID-19 cancellations, hundreds gathered at The New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane University to hear Tulane faculty and authors from around the country.
The three-day festival featured big-name speakers like legal thriller author John Grisham, Charles M. Blow, Michael Lewis, Bakari Sellers, Malcolm Gladwell, David Brooks and Princeton professor Imani Perry.
The free event hosted over 50 talks, with expert discussion on everything from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to how journalists cover racial issues in the South.
Tulane President Michael Fitts called the event “a Mardi Gras for the mind.”
