Tulane University has a new addition to 2022 campus food delivery: robots.

The small but mighty machines started puttering around last week, delivering food across the Uptown campus with wait times between 20 and 35 minutes.

Students can order delivery through the Everyday app and track the robot’s movement through campus. Students must press an “open” button from a smartphone to retrieve food from the robot.

Robots travel on sidewalks, roads and intersections. Supervisors are trained to control robots if “critical events” occur, according to the Tulane Dining Website.
