Tulane University broke a record on Saturday: the largest crowd in Yulman Stadium history.

Thirty-thousand, one-hundred and eighteen fans descended in blue and green to watch Tulane defeat the University of Central Florida and clinch the American Athletic Conference championship.

Many of those fans belted the signature “Hullabaloo” chant, did the wave and stormed the field amid confetti and fireworks after the clock hit zero.

The sold-out game marks the second time this fall Yulman has reached capacity. Saturday’s crowd broke a previous record of 30,100 set during Tulane’s homecoming game against the University of Memphis.

Before this fall, the stadium had only reached capacity for its grand opening game versus Georgia Tech in 2014.
