The Tulane University Police Department responded to a burglary and sexual battery incident Saturday at an off-campus residence, according to a notice sent to all students Saturday, Aug. 26. 

The victim was a student who lives on the 900 block of Pine Street. The victim reported an unknown male entered the residence at about 3:30 a.m., where he “unzipped the victim’s pants and touched them in their private area,” the notice from TUPD said. 

According to TUPD, the victim described the subject as a “male with short black hair wearing a white shirt and dark pants.”

TUPD asked anyone with information related to the incident to contact TUPD or the New Orleans Police Department.
