As much as we would all love to watch the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs from Caesars Superdome, most of us will be watching Super Bowl 59 from the comfort of our own homes. The good news? There is no shortage of fantastic restaurants to cater from for your watch party. Here are my top five NOLA establishments that are gearing up to feed your team on Feb. 9.
What better food to enjoy during the Super Bowl than pizza? Zee’s is serving up some of the best pizza pies in New Orleans. Owner Zee started his business selling pies at Zony Mash and now has a spot located Uptown on Baronne Street. With homemade dough, brick ovens and a whole host of fresh toppings, Zee’s is, in my opinion, the best slice in New Orleans. Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports, known for his viral pizza reviews, ranked the spot a 7.7 out of 10 when he visited in April of 2022.
Zee’s menu boasts unique pies, like the “Bye Felicia” with pepperoni, ricotta and hot honey, as well as spins on classics like the “Pa-Ping’s Plain.” The spot also offers housemade sides, such as cold-pickled jalapenos, salads and garlic knots.
Zee’s has a six-pie-per-customer limit in place and will be taking preorders beginning on Feb. 3.

Another classic Super Bowl food: wings. Chi Chi’s opened on Freret Street in September and brings Korean-inspired meals to New Orleans, featuring some of the best chicken wings I have ever had. With just two flavor options, the spot has perfected its sauces, and I guarantee that the soy garlic wings will be your new favorite.
There is something for everyone on the menu, even our vegetarian friends. Chi Chi’s also offers fried chicken sandwiches, sushi sandwiches, crispy rice and various sides, like their kimchi fried rice.
Chi Chi’s will be open for both takeout and dine-in during their regular hours on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be accepting to-go orders until 8 p.m. The easiest way to order is through their website.
If you want to put a Southern spin on your Super Bowl watch party, look no further than Blue Oak BBQ. Opened in 2012 as a pop-up, the overwhelming popularity led to a brick-and-mortar location in Mid-City.
Blue Oak’s menu ranges from daily specials to BBQ plates, and offers family style meals, BBQ by the pound and pints of sides. The beef brisket and brussel sprouts are my favorites, but you cannot go wrong with any of the meats and sides. Blue Oak also has one of the best chicken sandwiches in NOLA and was featured in The TODAY Show’s list of America’s best fried chicken.
Blue Oak will be running Super Bowl specials, as well as offering their usual catering menu.
You can’t watch the big game without some chips and dips, and Barracuda is the best place around for Mexican food. The OG location is close by on Tchoupitoulas, and new locations have popped up in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Bay St. Louis.
Barracuda has all the dips, from roasted tomato and jalapeno salsa to queso with homemade chorizo. The tortillas are made fresh in-house each day, and tacos include classics like chicken and pork, as well as unique options like the broccoli taco. Barracuda also offers bowls and quesadillas and has an amazing menu for those with allergies.
The catering menu offers great bang for your buck, with taco packs, shareable dips and jugs of housemade drinks. Barracuda also offers family meals, a happy hour pack and large individual trays, making it super easy to feed any number of people. You can order in advance for up to 36 hours before pickup through Barracuda’s website any day, even on Super Bowl Sunday.
If you are craving a crispy smashburger and perfectly salty fries, this is the place for you. Bub’s began as a pop-up in 2020, and has grown to three locations – two in New Orleans and one in Austin, Texas. The joint was featured in Thrillist’s list of the top 50 burger spots in America, and I understand why.
The menu boasts eight different house burgers with unique toppings, like the “Peanut Bubber” with American cheese, bacon and peanut butter, as well as a few different sandwiches and vegan-friendly options. You cannot go wrong with any of the sides at Bub’s. The fries and onion rings are incredible, and the sauces amplify each meal. Bub’s will be offering two special burgers, one inspired by Kansas City and one by Philly, so even your burger order can match your team.
Bub’s does offer catering, and will be accepting orders at both their Banks St. and Freret St. locations. Order on Bub’s website, in person, or through DoorDash, UberEats and GrubHub.
Any of these eateries are a win in my book and will certainly keep you and yours fed, with your eyes on the big game.
