A Tulane student reported being threatened with a gun and forced into a vehicle at approximately 4 a.m. on Sunday while near the intersection of Freret and Broadway streets. 

The student reported that the man said he mistook her for a prostitute and demanded sex. When she refused and asked for release, the man turned the vehicle around near Interstate 10 and Causeway Boulevard.

The student then said he brought her back to the 8200 block of Willow Street, where she was let out of the car and he sexually harassed her by slapping the student on the buttocks.

Tulane University Police Department describes him as being 6’0 tall, in his mid thirties with a medium completion with and bald-headed.  

New Orleans Police Department will be handling the ongoing investigation. Cameras in the area are under review.
