Delta Spirit will play at One Eyed Jack’s Saturday, Sept. 13 at 9 p.m. The California band is promoting its fourth studio album, “Into The Wide,” which was released on Tuesday.

The band got their start in 2007 with their first album, “Ode to Sunshine”. They gained popularity in 2012 with the release of “Delta Spirit”, their self-titled third studio album, which was No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart.

Delta Spirit has performed on numerous television shows over the years, including “Last Call with Carson Daly,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Later with Jools Holland,” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” and a live set for “Guitar Center Sessions” on DirecTV in in 2010. The band has also performed at Coachella and Lollapalooza.

Delta Spirit songs have been included on shows such as “Sons of Anarchy,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Friday Night Lights,” “American Dad!” and ”The Walking Dead,” as well as the movie “Warm Bodies.”

“Into the Wide” is the first album that Delta Spirit has not written in their base of Long Beach, CA. They instead relocated to Brooklyn, NY, to challenge themselves to evolve sonically. The California roots-rock of the first three albums has become something darker, including the tone of first single, “From Now On,” which was inspired by being stuck alone in their studio, which was affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Delta Spirit will be touring until November. “Into the Wide” is available now.
