A female student reported to the Downtown office of the Tulane University Police Department that she was the victim of an armed robbery at around 4 p.m. Saturday on Galvez Street.

The victim told officers that three black men approached her vehicle. One of the men grabbed her and pointed a handgun at her, demanding her keys. The men fled on foot when the victim screamed for help after one of the men struck her with a handgun.

The case was referred to New Orleans Police Department, which is currently investigating.
