TUPD arrests man for stalking student

Tulane University Police Department officers arrested a man for stalking a female Tulane student at 6:29 a.m. Thursday at her off-campus residence, according to the TUPD daily activity report.

The student reported to TUPD that the man, who has a history of stalking her, was parked outside her off-campus residence. When units arrived at the residence, the man initially fled in his vehicle but then abandoned his vehicle and ran. Officers eventually arrested the man.

Upon arrest, the subject began complaining of heart pain and was transported to the Tulane University Medical Center by a New Orleans Health Department unit. When he was released from the hospital, he was booked into Central Lockup for stalking and resisiting arrest.
