A man robbed a Tulane student at 3 p.m. Saturday at 835 Broadway St. Tulane University Police Department notified the Tulane community through a crime alert issued at 5:20 p.m.

According to the crime alert, a man in possession of a black handgun approached the student and stole his property. The man then fled the area toward St. Charles Avenue.  

The suspect is described as 20 years old, 5-foot-10 and bald. He was wearing a long-sleeved, sweater-style shirt and blue jeans. The crime alert did not specify the race of the suspect.
