Arabi relief efforts continue after an EF3 tornado pounded the area last month. The disaster’s reach, however, is not big enough to receive Federal Emergency Management Agency aid

Instead, St. Bernard Parish will seek the state’s help to pay for the cleanup of the tornado’s debris. The Governor previously declared a state of emergency for the affected areas.

On March 29, crews and volunteers rushed to clear streets of debris like tree limbs and metal before another round of severe storms threatened the New Orleans area.
