Following Tulane football’s historic win at the 2023 Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic against the Southern California Trojans, the tire sculpture of the Tulane Green Wave has made its way to the Jill H. and Avram A. Glazer Family Club. Produced by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, the tire art was made in honor of Tulane’s season using 215 Goodyear Tires and was made by artist Blake McFarland.

“We are thrilled that the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Green Wave Tire Art has come home to the Jill H. and Avram A. Glazer Family Club,” said Director of Athletics Troy Dannen. “The fine folks at Goodyear and the Cotton Bowl put on a first-class experience for our student athletes, coaches and staff and it is our pleasure to have a piece of that be part of Yulman Stadium.”

The 315 pound sculpture stands at 6 feet and 5 inches and took McFarland 16 days to create. The Green Wave was made alongside a tire statue of Tommy the Trojan, the mascot of the University of Southern California.
