A Tulane student lost his wallet Sunday morning around 6:15 a.m. after an alleged pickpocketing incident, according to reports from Tulane University Police Department.

The student was on the corner of Broadway and Zimple Streets outside of The Boot Bar and Grill when he lost the wallet. He was later approached by a subject holding the student’s bank card, who offered to retrieve the entire wallet for $20. The two proceeded to an ATM located outside of The Palms Bar and Grill on the corner of Broadway and Freret Streets where the student withdrew the money. The subject then grabbed the student’s wallet and fled. The student pursued the subject, struggled with them, and was thrown to the ground. The subject then fled the scene.

The suspect listed is a black male, with a slim build, “chin strap” beard, and was wearing a shirt with a diamond shaped design.
