This past month, the Tulane men’s club ultimate frisbee team, Tucks,  went on a 2,000-mile journey to attend the Santa Barbara Invite 2020, hosted by University of California, Santa Barbara. Though this tournament didn’t end the way the team had hoped, placing 18th in a field of 20 competitors, players are optimistic for the future.

With two upcoming tournaments in the month of March, the team will have ample opportunity to bounce back. Starting with the Tally Classic on March 14-15 and then the Centex on March 21-22, taking place in Tallahassee and Austin, respectively, the club ultimate will look to improve its spot in the power rankings.

Led by junior captain Max Lang and senior captain Sam Butler, the team will face its greatest test April 18-19 when it plays in the sectional competitions in Baton Rouge. Should the Green Wave succeed, it will have a series of even tougher matchups. The team’s next step would be the Tallahassee regional competition just a week after the sectionals, taking place April 25-26. If Tulane qualifies yet again, it would compete in the national tournament which takes place May 22-25 in Milwaukee.
