Real Name Campaign NOLA is organizing a march set for Sunday, July 11, against lawmakers overriding the veto of Louisiana Senate Bill 156. The march will mobilize at 4:30 p.m. at Washington Square Park in New Orleans.

Senate Bill 156 is a trans sports bill that requires schools to designate intercollegiate, interscholastic and intramural athletic teams according to the biological sex of the team members. The bill, entitled the Fairness in Women’s Sports Act, bans participation on female teams for those not assigned female at birth and argues that having separate sex-specific teams furthers sex equality. Real Name Campaign NOLA along with Louisiana Trans Advocates have continuously fought against the bill, lobbying and protesting at the capital.
