Dorm theft leads to student arrest

On Feb. 18, Tulane University Police Department arrested a Tulane student in connection with a theft in Butler House. 

According to TUPD, the suspect allegedly entered a student’s unlocked room and removed a pendant and chain. The victim told TUPD officers they observed the student enter their room and that he appeared heavily intoxicated. The suspected student admitted to entering the room and gave the pendant to the officers. After being issued a municipal summons for theft, the student was released.
