On April 16, Tulane University Police Department responded to an anonymous report of criminal hazing occurring in the basement of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity

According to TUPD, when officers arrived at the fraternity house, they were denied entry by a fraternity member and asked to return with a warrant.

This is the second hazing allegation against Sigma Alpha Epsilon after TUPD officers responded to a different anonymous hazing report at the fraternity in February 2022. In Louisiana, hazing is a felony with a potential five-year prison sentence and $10,000 fine.
